Blue Herrings, S3E2.

Filmed in Amersham, Beaconsfield, Bledlow, Stonor, and Danesfield House Hotel & Spa (as Lawnside Nursing Home interiors), and Marlow of Buckinghamshire as well as in Wallingsford of Oxfordshire, S3E2, "Blue Herrings," is set mostly in the fictional Lawnside Nursing Home. The newest (second) Barnaby home is revealed in this episode. Stroll and scroll all the way down to read my commentary. Enjoy!

Commentary:
Well now, the Barnaby's have left their original home and bought a new one which features much less brick on its facade, sadly. Still, it is a lovely 2 story with an amazing yard too. Joyce and Cully feature a lot in this one as well as Tom being hard at work painting the new house as well as taking the time to visit his lovely aunt while she recovers at a rest home. When he can't make it one day he calls on Cully to make the visit, which she does in her caring and charming way. At the end, Tom gently asks Joyce if his aunt can stay at their home for a few weeks and she politely agrees, how quaint!

The story line itself is rather slow and flat, but a welcome reprieve from the past gruesomely savage episodes. This episode features Phyllis Calvert in her last onscreen role.
