Birds of Prey, S6E5

Just a reminder, all of my reviews contain SPOILERS. Anyhow, few viewers could have correctly guessed the identity of the murderer in "Birds of Prey." There were no obvious clues the first time around. Upon second viewing, once the viewer is aware of whodunit, several subtle clues dash around, but too silently when compared with the obvious red herrings. Speaking of herrings, the subject manner of training birds and capturing their valuable eggs will only interest some (not me). Several rude and slimy characters in this one, but happily no sexual scenes or blood and guts.

Cully shows up here, now working as a travel agent as she and Joyce try to convince Tom to take a trip to Africa. Joyce eventually has Cully book the tickets for a tour of Botswana on elephant back come April. Now that would have made for an entertaining episode.

Troy has forgotten all about that kiss he shared with Cully back in Death and Dreams, S6E2 and now fancies a Cully look-a-like with whom he goes out at the end. There's a catchy African style drum tune which I really enjoyed, especially in the fun scene of the long-suffering wife trashing and torching her thieving husband's prized possessions.

Many lovely shots abound. It seems to have been filmed during the chill of Autumn with its brisk wind and overcast skies. Quaint exteriors of several homes and some charming interiors including a collection of African items in one character's home. Scroll down to the end for some BONUS fun!
