Commentary:
So, Tom's expression here was the same as mine as I watched the episode...
So after making eyes at yet another female, Dan Scott actually spends time with her (including the night). She's a smart and caring school teacher named Miss Francis. Sadly, Miss Francis is brutally murdered soon after her romp with Dan. Still, there's a bit of a touching moment when one of her students asks Dan if he's "looking for Miss Fisher," and looking forlorn, he replies, "Yeah, I think I was."
Tom tries to give Scott some space by telling Bullard to do a few things that normally would be Scott's job. Still, Tom won't have any nonsense! This is precisely why Tom has told Scott to stop drooling over the witnesses!
Well, let's forget all this dreary murder business and enjoy whatever this is that Joyce has cooked up...
Let's just cozy on up and have a nice family dinner...
Nope, Tom's on the case and he's got to go and now! Out the door he goes!
Well now that this terrible Halloween-ish episode is finally done, let's hope the Christmas one up ahead is more merry!
