Commentary:
DS Dan Scott still needs to work on his interview and personal style. Basically, he needs to cease to be a creepy lady ogler. Barnaby sets him straight.
Joyce is still delivery mystery meals. "It's a sort of stew."
George Bullard has lots to say in this episode besides just one line about the time of death. And what he says CRACKS THIS CASE WIDE OPEN! Well, it's not that dramatic, but definitely gives the hint to the final few scenes.
Cully has long forgotten her boyfriend from last episode (shocking, I know). She makes the mistake of asking Dan out for a Ingmar Bergman film fest. He thinks she meant Ingrid Bergman and proceeds to sleep through the date. Then he just suddenly leaves poor Cully in the car park at night while he goes running after a suspect. I don't like this guy.
And Tom does not like him either. Joyce gives Scott the benefit of the doubt since he usually sweet talks her.
And it's painful for both Tom and the viewer when Scott makes a valid point and we have to admit, er, yes...yes, you're right, Scott (ugh).
So let's see what cringe-worthy moments DS Scott has in store for us next...
