Beyond the Grave, S3E4.

Filmed in Chenies Manor House (as the museum) of Buckinghamshire; Chipperfield, Hertfordshire; and Ewelm (as Aspen Tallow) of Oxforshire, S3E4, "Beyond the Grave," is set in the village of Aspen Tallow. Scroll and stroll through all the quaint exteriors and interiors to read my commentary. Enjoy!

Here we have our second glimpse of Cully's long-term boyfriend, Nico. He was first introduced in Season 1's, "Death of a Hollow Man." He seems rather goofy in his mannerisms but turns out to be quite a smart guy as he tags along with Troy on the case. The case itself is not too fascinating, but interesting enough with a bit of a spooky ghost element that keeps the pace fine enough.

Beautiful greenery in the town scenes, but not much in the way of interiors as the episode had a rather dark, dusty museum quality throughout

Commentary:
The story begins with an old flashback to a terrible murder committed by a lovely blonde child. It was creepy yet intriguing throughout with a bit of a slow patch in the middle but again a satisfying ending as all was revealed. The characters were well developed and well acted. The Barnaby family has settled into their new home and are back having meals and backyard conversations together.I enjoyed checking out the new interiors of the home with all its details from plants to furnishings. And what a relaxing backyard to take in the lovely day with the family! This episode features actor Orlando Bloom and Josephine Tewson from the British comedy, "Keeping Up Appearances."
