Blood Will Out, S2E4.

Commentary: 

Joyce and Cully insist that Tom go on a diet which leads to some funny bits of exasperation by Tom, even as Cully enlists Troy to hide Tom's snack stash! I feel sorry for Tom as it's bad enough that he has to deal with Joyce's terrible meals with a happy face and now everyone he trusts is monitoring whatever he eats! Funny bit unfolds later when it's revealed that Cully has been feasting on sweet cake everyday (as her job, but still). Other than that, I found this episode very boring! Mostly because I found the characters flat and boring, by the time the killer was revealed, I could not have cared any less!

Dead Man's Eleven, S2E3.

Filmed in Bledlow, Buckinghamshire; Littlewick Green (as Fletcher's Cross), Berkshire; and Greys Court, Henley-on -Thames, Wallington, Wallingford, in Oxfordshire. Plenty of lovely English scenery to go around including cricket matches and vast rolling estates. Commentary: 

This episode struck me as odd for a couple of reasons. Joyce all the sudden wants a new home, but why? I already am attached to their current dark brick 2 story home with maroon stair rails! But alas, it's not just about me, is it? Ha. Also, suddenly Cully is speaking about her boyfriend, Nico (from Season 1's Death of a Hollow Man), whom she's dated for 2 years already? What? What about her flirtations with the drama teacher in Death's Shadow just 2 episodes ago, not to mention her budding romance with Troy? Well, just an editing glitch or jump to in the series. 

But here, Tom utters the best line in all of Midsomer Murders, one that captures the entire series and gives a comic nod to us loyal viewers who know it speaks of what we all know! Haha! Love it. 

"Every time I go to any Midsomer village, it's always the same thing: blackmails, sexual deviance, suicide, and murder!" 

Other than that, the story is fairly interesting (excluding the born again couple who enjoy being naughty, yuck and puke). Although, the ending is far-fetched again when thinking about the motive being an act of revenge for an incident done decades ago. Then again, I suppose revenge and anger can make a mother and daughter go mad (hint, hint). You just never know in Midsomer!
