S12E7, The Great and the Good

The final episode of S12, "The Great and the Good," was not much of the former, enough  though of the latter. Most of the scenes take place in the picturesque village with several lovely buildings and green land to feast your eyes upon. The main gal, Connie, is acted out by the same actress (and largely in the same manner) as she who appeared in S8E6, Hidden Depths. A couple of other characters are Midsomer repeats, but none so distractingly similarly as Connie. For some reason, all the main men have got the hots for Miss Connie, even though she won't let the village (or for that matter, Joyce Barnaby) get a good night's sleep due to her irritating calls for help at all hours of the night. If you're quite keen and careful and keep yer ears open, you just might, perhaps, maybe, but not likely really, figure out who and what for is behind all the murder in this one. The final reveal at the end is enjoyable as Joyce and Tom get ready for a night of slumber whilst filling in all the details. Worth noting is that this is the last episode before season 13--which is the last season for our favorite actor, John Nettles, acting as Barnaby. The final episode of season 13 will be Tom's last as both he and I retire...tick tock.
