Painted in Blood, S6E3

Although there was no Cully in S6E3's "Painted in Blood," Joyce played an integral part within this episode's mystery as the first victim is spotted by her during her outdoor water coloring class. Joyce takes the discovery of the dead body in stride, much better than her horrified screaming and sobbing reaction to witnessing the death by razor in "Death of a Hollow Man," S1E3.

The murder plot itself was a bit flat for me without any endearing players (besides the regulars of course), with just one non-gruesome murder and a theme regarding bank robbers and a few crooked cops. These NIS officers push Tom off the case and bring in Troy who feels excited by the chance to work with those higher on the food chain, leaving Tom in the dust. Troy later comes to realize his mistake in not standing by his true boss and apologizes to Tom who lovingly supports his too eager junior.

Not too many spectacular buildings here, but lots of outdoor lawn shots of peaceful painters with their brushes and easels. A good capture of the back of the Barnaby home and a couple of cozy shots of inside it. Some street scenes with charming details are included. The shots vary in size and are presented out of the usual order because I used different methods for the screen captures this time around...
